[one_half][dropcap]M[/dropcap]y mind has to be completely focused on my own illusions. I never look at other people’s work. I have an obsession with details and pattern. It’s really easy to get colors right. It’s really hard to get black – and neutrals – right.

Black is certainly a color but it’s also an illusion. I am convinced that there can be luxury in simplicity. It’s a philosophy of life. A practice. If you do this, something will change, what will change is that you will change, your life will change, and if you can change you, you can perhaps change the world.[/one_half]

[one_half_last]Design is a series of creative choices – it’s a collaborative effort, an evolutionary process. I design from instinct. What feels good. What feels right. Working on the details, twisting them and playing with them over the years, but always staying on the same track. I like things simple. I like to be real. My learning process is by eye alone; it’s not at all scientific. For me, art is about learning and about living with people. It’s alive. Grunge is a hippied romantic version of punk. There is always the new project, the new opportunity. I like the things around me to be beautiful and slightly dreamy, with a feeling of worldliness. Beauty is perfect in its imperfections, so you just have to go with the imperfections.[/one_half_last]
